Positively Heal Trauma with
Trauma Informed Hypnotherapy™
Discover how to effectively heal trauma with Trauma-Informed Hypnotherapy, a respectful, evidence-based approach. Rather than have clients relive painful experiences, Trauma Informed Hypnotherapy gives you tools to help clients restore resilience, activate inner healing states, and reprocess traumatic memories quickly and painlessly.
You may even get your own breakthrough in this high-powered workshop worth 25 CE’s that is filled with experiential activities and practice sessions that help you discover: 1) why hypnosis is one of the most gentle and effective evidence-based tools you can use to heal trauma, 2) how to use hypnosis to rewire the brain and transform negative beliefs, and 3) how to adapt interventions to fit your client’s spiritual, cultural, and personal needs.
If you already have training in hypnosis, you’ll learn how to safely deepen trance with traumatized clients and effectively target your interventions to get better results. If you’re new to hypnosis, you’ll discover how you can use this powerful tool to not only heal trauma, but to also eliminate unwanted habits, soothe chronic pain, and relieve anxiety and depression.

“I have known Courtney for some time and find her to be skilled as a presenter/speaker, deeply knowledgeable about her subject area (resilience and traumatic stress among other areas), and in general one of the kindest and generous people you could meet. I hope you get a chance to train with her or read her work.”
"Courtney makes complicated material usable, accessible and enjoyable!"
"I had a breakthrough... this training was what I needed."
"I gained more confidence, learned new techniques, and got lots of great support."
"I gained new skills and improved my comfort level in using hypnosis."
Prior training in hypnosis is not required. We will be breaking people into small groups based on their level of experience. If you have had prior hypnosis training, we’ll be sharing new research and help you take your skills to the next level. If you’ve never had hypnosis training, you’ll be getting the basic skills in a supportive, collegial environment.
The National Board for Certified Clinical Hypnotherapists (NBCCH) requires at least 50 hours of live hypnosis training with supervised practice and coaching for certification from their board. This training awards 25 hours towards NBCCH’s certification requirements. Check the NBCCH site at www.natboard.com for more info on certification.
Check to see what your state requires. The Hypnotherapists’s Union’s website at www.hypnotherapistsunion.org/statelaws lists the states with hypnosis regulations, but you are still responsible for checking with your state to be sure you are practicing within the scope of your license.
Check the CE information at the bottom of this page to make sure your state is covered. Commowealth Educational Seminars has approved this workshop for CE’s and is recognized by the APA, NBCC, ABSW, and LMFT boards in most states to provide 25 CE’s for this workshop, but again, check the CE info at the bottom of this page to be sure.
In level 1, we’ll be skilling people in essential hypnotic induction skills and the process of memory reconsolidation so practitioners feel confident using hypnosis to help clients heal traumatic memories. In Level 2, we’ll be addressing ways of working with complex trauma and various attachment styles, advanced hypnosis techniques, and ways of helping clients manage dissociation and self-harm behaviors.
Yes. You’ll need specific knowledge and skills taught in a Level 1 Trauma Informed Hypnotherapy (TIH) before you’ll be ready for a Level 2 TIH course. Even if you’ve been trained in hypnosis by another organization, the TIH model is unique and is based on a specific philosophy, clinical protocol, and set of skills that are taught in Level 1. We’ve tried waiving the Level 1 requirement in the past, but even seasoned hypnotherapists reported they felt behind in Level 2 if they had not attended Level 1 first. So please join us for Level 1!
